Before medicine, Dr. Prybis earned a mechanical engineering degree at Georgia Tech and worked as an engineer at Bechtel.

BEYOND THE OPERATING ROOM
An athlete’s appreciation for an active life.
Dr. Prybis captained the Georgia Tech tennis team in 1990–1991 and was an ACC singles and doubles champion in 1989. His interests include golf, wakesurfing, music, and time with family.
His career also includes research on spinal biomechanics, fusion materials, and surgical instrumentation.
